Water Heater Features That Are Perfect For Airlines

  • January 25, 2019March 17, 2021

Water heaters are very useful appliances that meet the needs of many people in various sectors. The rise in demand for water heaters has paved way for more advanced water heaters that can be used in any environment. Apart from being used around homesteads, rental apartments and the workplaces, water heaters are also available in airlines. The passengers require total comfort when it comes to air travels. However, airlines must invest in acquiring the best water heaters that will address the passengers’ issues and also in maintaining the expected conditions inside the airplanes. This article informs the airline industries about some of the must-have features of waters that they can invest in and their benefits.

First and foremost, water heaters with brass valves are the best and key feature in water heaters. Plastic valves have been in use for over sometimes but they have proved to be unreliable when it comes to withstanding the heat. Plastic valve tends to last in most of the occasions thereby disadvantaging and making the passengers uncomfortable. However, with brass valves, the passengers will receive the services they want without any interference. They can withstand very high temperatures over a long period of time.

Secondly, airlines should acquire water heaters with an outer glass coating. Various manufacturers started using this technique since it protects the water heater steel body parts from corroding. Having such water in the airplanes is very good since it will last longer without being serviced every now and then. Passengers will also be happy when using a water heater that is appealing to the eyes with no signs of wear and tear.

Energy efficiency is also another must-have feature of an airline water heater. The best one which is very energy saving is the Eccotemp L10 which is more portable than RV hot water heater bypass. Which saves up to 85% of the energy. Additionally, it has an automatic set-off that will cut the power off given that the water has boiled. This means that the passengers can set and leave their water warming up as they attend to other issues and come back letter just to pick their water without having to struggle on switching it off again. The passengers will have absolutely no work to do which makes them more comfortable and safe. The heater is automated to go off immediately just ten minutes after the boiling is complete. More importantly, it will again turn itself on if another passenger runs water again into the heater.

Furthermore, airlines should acquire water heaters with multiple exit points. This means that several passengers can be served at the same time without having to wait in a queue. It is very good for passengers to get the service instantly whenever they need it. This system is perfect for airlines since several portable water tanks can be carried for the purposes of keeping the water for the passengers. It is a very convenient system for passengers to use warm water.

If the airline’s industry will invest more in the acquisition of water heaters with such features, then both the passengers and the airline industry will benefit.

Conditions to bring a garment steamer on the plane

You can bring a garment steamer on a plane if you follow certain conditions. Some of them are mandatory according to the TSA rulebook, while some of them are necessary for your own convenience.

1.Portable

This is a no-brainer but worth clarifying anyway. The garment steamer of your choice must be portable. You need to fulfill this requirement for both official reasons and convenience reasons. If it is not portable, the security system at the airport may stop you from going forward with the trip. You may also need to explain the reason for carrying it on the plane. A portable one, on the other hand, will not pose any such risk.

2. Lightweight

Your garment steamer needs to be lightweight to pass through the customs safely. Of course, it will also be harder for you to carry it anywhere. So pick a lightweight handheld garment steamer that is easy to use and carry.

The 3-1-1 liquid rule laid out by the TSA states that you are allowed to bring only about 2.4 ounces of liquid per item. It allows only a quart-sized bag of liquids to get through the checkpoint. So it will work the best for you if your steamer doesn’t depend on liquid refills.

No matter who you are or where you are going, you are bound to have to wait in an airport at least once in your life. Some airports are quite dull and boring, but some are fun and interactive. No one likes waiting around at airports, especially for a flight in which they will have to endure also doing nothing. Some smart people have come up with the bright idea of adding some funky new items into airports to spice up their waiting times, as well as a chance to stretch their legs.

Ping Pong

Ping Pong originated in the 1880s Victorian-England era and had come a long way in the last century and a half. Ping Pong was generally played by the upper socioeconomic society, usually after the evening meal. During its time in existence, there have been many variations of the sport. Equipment to play is quite simple; you need a plastic ball, usually 40mm in diameter or above, two or four racquets, or paddles, depending
on how many players there are, and of course, a ping pong table with a net, much like a tennis net, however significantly smaller. Each game is the first to 11 points but can be extended or reduced in playing recreationally. Ping Pong can be thought of as a primarily scaled down tennis match.

Stretching your legs

After a long flight, or if you are awaiting boarding for a long trip, it is essential you spread your legs every so often. Some advantages of moving your legs before sitting down for an extended period include; being able to manage soreness in leg muscles and retaining flexibility in leg muscles. Also vital to one’s health is blood flow and circulation. Even merely standing up will allow the blood to flow back down to your legs, allowing you to maintain a comfortable feeling throughout your flight, or wait.

Combining the two

Now that we know a little bit of history behind Ping Pong and the advantages of stretching your legs, it is now time to discuss the two combined in an airport setting. The geniuses at Christchurch International Airport have gone to extraordinary lengths to secure the services of multiple ping pong tables for the outside of their airport departure lounge. This will allow guests to relax and destress before a flight, or after the hectic activities of a family holiday. Ultimately, this concept should be copied at most, if not all, essential hubs around the world. Yes, there may be cafes and duty-free to keep you occupied, but how about the kids? You can leave them here, and while you shop, they will be making new friends, plus you might even save a penny or two at the duty-free stores. Playing ping pong in an airport lounge is a beautiful concept, and serves as a perfect way to pass the time while waiting to board a flight, competitively play and bond with your whole family while using the world-class table tennis equipment and as well as, incorporating some essential health benefits along the way.

With this being said, get in contact with your local airport today and find out how to can change the overall aesthetic and vibe of the departure lounge.

FLY BLUE CRANE’S SPECIAL HOLIDAY FLIGHTS BETWEEN KIMBERLEY AND CAPE TOWN TO START ON DECEMBER 1, 2015
CUSTOMERS GET BEST IN PREMIUM QUALITY, CONVENIENCE AND AFFORDABILITY

12 November 2015, Johannesburg. Due to overwhelming customer demand, new South African airline, Fly Blue Crane, will launch its special holiday flights between Kimberley and Cape Town from December 1, and not from mid next month as originally planned.

The airline announced last month that in its bid to meet the travel needs of customers over the festive season, it would offer special holiday flights from Kimberley and Bloemfontein to Cape Town.

“Our initial plan was to offer this seasonal service to Cape Town from both Kimberley and Bloemfontein from December 12 this year to January 17 next year. However, there has been such an overwhelming response from our customers regarding flights between Kimberley and Cape Town that this service will now start on December 1.

“Flights between Bloemfontein and Cape Town will remain as previously advised,” Fly Blue Crane COO, Theunis Potgieter, said adding that the seasonal holiday flights would cater for the unique and special travel needs of the airline’s customers in the three cities during this period.

“There will be one return flight a day, seven days a week, from both Kimberley and Bloemfontein to Cape Town during this period, with the exception of Christmas Day when there will be no flights.

“Traditionally, there is an increase in the number of people wanting to visit the coast for the holidays and our customers asked us to add these flights to cater for this peak demand, which we are doing offering very attractive fares,” Potgieter said.

Turning to Fly Blue Crane’s regular flights out of its OR Tambo International Airport hub in Johannesburg to Bloemfontein, Kimberley and Nelspruit, he said these were tracking upwards well.

“We are very happy with how things are going. We are also most gratified with the overwhelming, positive customer feedback that we are receiving from our customers regarding our service, product and fresh approach to air travel on these routes,” Potgieter said, confirming the airline’s commitment to servicing Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport following a slight adjustment in flight schedules, as well as the stabilisation of ground operations there.

“We appreciate the patience and support of our loyal passengers as we embarked on this review exercise in Mbombela, which is now complete,” he said.

Fly Blue Crane launched its inaugural flights from OR Tambo International Airport to Bloemfontein, Kimberley and Nelspruit on September 1. It also offers cargo services on all its flights.

The airline currently operates modern and fuel-efficient 50-seater Embraer Regional Jet 145 (ERJ) aircraft in a single class configuration, which allows for quick aircraft turnaround times and maximum crew synergies.
